Emily Erdman MA, TLLP
I became a therapist after witnessing the gaps in resources our community experiences in support of emotional andmental health. My passion in the field stems from the belief that I can be a part of the change that is necessary, while being a resource for people seeking to change their lives in the manner that they wish. I work with many backgrounds, lifestyles, and worldviews. The focus of my work is on anxiety and depression, particularly when present for those facing chronic illness or health issues. My role is to help you process the difficulties you have experienced, while providing support, acceptance, feedback. We will work together to foster a state of mind that is more able and resilient as you move through your life. This work is deeply important to me, as I believe that no one should feel alone and without assistance when facing life’s challenges and mysteries.
I have an extensive background in public service and public resource management. I’ve carried this background onto the service of others on a personal and private level. I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, animals, gardening, learning new skills, and being an advocate of wellness. This background has given me a non-judgmental worldview which provides comfort and strength to those looking for it.
I work with individuals from 8 years old to end of life, with a focus on young to midlife adults. I deeply enjoy assisting clients with chronic illness, a population that I think is underserved and deliberately neglected. I further serve the LGBTQA+ community, and those practicing non-monogamy. All of my work is trauma informed.
